The Donald R. Ulrich Award recognizes outstanding contributions to Sol–Gel Science and Technology by early-career researchers. Established in memory of Prof. Dr. Donald R. Ulrich, the award has been presented at each International Sol-Gel Conference since 1991.
The Board of Directors of the International Sol-Gel Society (ISGS) is delighted to announce the recipients of the 2025 Donald R. Ulrich Awards:
– Dr. Alessandra Pinna, University of Surrey, United Kingdom
– Dr. Ran Du, Beijing Institute of Technology, China
These awards recognize their outstanding contributions in sol-gel materials, particularly in the fields of sol-gel materials for healthcare and catalysis respectively.
The awards will be presented at the Sol-Gel 2026 International Conference (Lisbon, Portugal, August 31 – September 4, 2026).
