Three different categories of awards have been created to recognize the quality of research and communications. They are awarded during International SolGel Conference or ISGS SummerSchool.
Life Achievement Award
The ISGS Life Achievement Award honors the life time contribution of a man or a woman to enriching sol-gel science.
Donald R. Ulrich Award
(Basic and Applied Science / Product or Product Oriented R&D)
The award is granted in remembrance of Prof. Dr. Donald R. Ulrich, who pioneered the US Air Force structural materials chemistry research program. He established and managed major national and international research programs that were fundamental for the existence of the Sol-Gel field.

ISGS Best poster Award
Each edition of the ISGS SummerSchool or Sol-gel Conference gives the opportunity to highlight the work of young researchers. Posters are selected for both the scientific quality of the work and the presentation of the scientific information on the poster.
