The VIII Workshop Italiano Sol-Gel will be held from 21-22 June in Trento, Italy. The Italian Sol-Gel Workshop is, for our community, an important moment which is renewed every two years since the first meeting held in Padua 1998. After that, Workshops were held in Parma (2000), Trento (2002), Iglesias (2004), Milan (2006), Lecce (2008) and Naples (2010).
event supported by ISGS
The Department of Materials Engineering and Industrial Technologies of the University of Trento and the CNR Institute of Photonics and Nanotechnology of Trento will host the 2012 conference, with the aim of providing once again an opportunity to discuss the most important and up-to-date topics in the field of sol-gel materials and their many applications.
The Italian Sol-Gel community has been active for a long time at high level in the international arena, as demonstrated by the recent publication of the special issue of Journal of Sol-Gel Science and Technology “Sol-Gel R & D in Italy.”
The Trento Workshop wants to strengthen and promote the meeting and the exchange between Italian researchers with the aim of enhancing even more the visibility of our community both nationally and internationally.
Last but not least … the Italian Workshop on Sol-Gel aims to reinforce the friendship and personal exchange between colleagues who have always been delighted to participate to this bi-annual meeting.
