An International Workshop on Sol-Gel Materials for Bioencapsulation and Biodelivery will be held at the École Normale Supérieure de Lyon on Saturday 23 July (one day prior to the Welcome Reception for Sol-Gel 2022). The workshop will explore current efforts to control the survival and biological function of enzymes and whole cells in both single-cell and cluster encapsulates, together with potential applications for the controlled delivery of biomolecules and microorganisms in biomedical and agricultural applications. Professor Denis Poncelet, the leader of the international bioencapsulation community will give an overview of present and future of industrial bioencapsulation applications.
The Workshop is being jointly organised by Professors Vadim Kessler (SLU, Sweden) and Insung Choi (KAIST, Republic of Korea) and is supported by the Swedish Foundation for International Cooperation in Research and Higher Education (STINT) grant MG2019-8464, the National Research Foundation of Korea (2020K2A9A2A1200025013), and the International Sol-Gel Society (ISGS). Participation is free of charge, although registration is required.
More information on the Workshop, including registration and abstract submission, can be found here or by emailing Professor Vadim Kessler.
