Following the success of the inaugural ISGS PhD Student eMarathon in March 2024, the ISGS will host the second PhD Student eMarathon on 13 March 2025. The PhD Student eMarathon will involve a series of lectures by students who are currently undertaking their PhD in any area of sol-gel science and technology, with each lecture being of 30 minutes duration and an additional 10 minutes for questions. Our aspiration is to showcase the depth and diversity of the sol-gel research being undertaken by our students in universities, industry and/or national laboratories, and to provide an opportunity for them to present their work to an international audience in a relaxed, online environment.
We invite any PhD Students working in the broad area of sol-gel science and technology who are interested in participating in the eMarathon to submit an abstract to the ISGS Newsletter Editor via email, together with a short statement outlining their motivation for participating in the event. The deadline for applications is Monday 3 February 2025. Applicants will be advised of the outcome of their applications by Monday 10 February 2025.
