Planning for Sol-Gel 2024, which will be held in Berlin, Germany, is now underway. Led by Professor Nicola Pinna (Chair, Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin), Dr Patricia Russo (Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin), Professor Markus Antonietti (Max Planck Institute of Colloids and Interfaces, Potsdam), Professor Clément Sanchez (UPMC and Collège de France) and Professor Plinio Innocenzi (University of Sassari), the 2024 meeting will continue the rich scientific tradition established by the International Sol-Gel Conference series that began in 1981, with the first meeting held in Padova, Italy. This is the second time that the Conference will have been hosted in Germany, with the 1983 meeting having been held in Würzburg. The conference has now been hosted in 13 different countries across the globe, celebrating the cultural diversity of our international community.
Every host city over the >40-year history of our conference series has contributed its own unique “flavour”, and the 2024 Berlin meeting will further continue this rich scientific, technological and cultural tradition. Please watch this space for regular updates from the Organising Committee as planning evolves over the coming months.
The organisers look forward to welcoming you to Berlin in 2024!
